Welcome. Imagine waking up one day with a sudden flood of memories from your childhood – memories that were buried deep within, now resurfacing with a force that shakes your foundation. This is the story of how I faced the unexpected, emerged stronger, more connected, and ready to help others on their journey.
For years, I lived without any recollection of certain childhood events. Then without warning flashbacks began to surface, revealing a past I had unconsciously hidden from myself. The shock of these memories was overwhelming plunging me into a crisis I never anticipated.
In the midst of the turmoil, I learnt to trust my intuition. I realised that crisis can arise without warning, and it’s okay to not have all the answers. Reaching out for support and gaining knowledge became my lifeline, easing the pain and bringing clarity. I discovered that understanding the impact of childhood trauma and the protective patterns we create is crucial to our healing. It wasn’t about how i dealt with the trauma; it was recognising the trauma was the root cause. This understanding allowed me to build stronger relationship with myself and others.
Many of us carry hidden burdens, unaware of how past traumas shape our present. My journey from confusion to clarity is one that resonates with anyone who has faced unexpected challenges. By sharing my story, I hope to inspire others to seek understanding and healing, knowing they are not alone.
I have worked in the area of healing since my early thirties. It took me on a journey towards healing from my past childhood trauma, to learning more about healing the trauma in my life, to then becoming a Psychotherapist and a Spiritual Coach. My work is about supporting others on their journey to healing form past trauma and abuse within their lives. My book ‘Journey of the unhealed child’ tells my story of working through memories from my childhood and the healing I found within those memories. The impact that unhealed trauma can have on our adults lives is something that is not only damaging to our relationship to ourselves but the relationships we have with others.
My work has been for many years been about helping others heal from the trauma of childhood . Unless we can heal from the past trauma in our childhoods we are unable to find our way to the life we truly want and the love we seek also. Trauma brings a disconnection to who we are fully and we need to find the bridge to help us heal that disconnection in ourselves. We all have a inner wisdom and resilience that we can tap into to aid how we heal ourselves. This is what my job is to help you connect more with that inner wisdom and resilience and to trust your inner voice to creating the healing and life you desire for yourself now.
My message to you is that there is healing from the trauma in your past and even in your present. That healing comes from leaning into the pain and releasing it and allowing the joy and the love to emerge within you. The road to healing begins with the right kind of support, having a safe place that enables you to search for the healing you need and then to find the skills to change the survival patterns that the trauma has created within you. What helped you survive trauma in your past kept you safe from whatever was causing the trauma, whereas the trauma may no longer excist now, yet the patterns you had in the past are not serving you now in the present the way they did then and may cause you to recreate the pain of the past within yourself and your relationships today. My own journey has helped me heal from my past, has given me insights into helping others in their healing and has led me to training and gaining the skills that enabled me to heal my own past and to be present with others on their journey to the self discovery , self-confidence, building up self-esteem and self-worth within themselves.
With the right support, knowledge and understanding anything is possible. Trauma is the problem not you. The survival patterns came from the child within you and keep you as safe as that child could keep you. The past can’t be changed. You can learn from it and create how your present will be in gaining insights, knowledge and understanding about your past and by giving yourself the love and compassion you need to move forward with your life.
